Meeting

a poem by Nimesh

I could feel her watery eyes,
I could hear her heart beat,

Her body language saying
She would hug me and cry
And put aside the loads
Of pain, sorrow, anguish

But nothing of that sort happened
And nothing new in my expectations
Turning out to be dreams unfulfilled

She acted oblivious to my presence
And it was time for me to leave
Yet, I want her thoughts to stay.
