The Great Giver

a poem by Shah Pravinchandra Kasturchand

I gave five million dollars
To the church as a donation;
I gave few thousands silvers
For the children’s education.

I built number one hospital
For free treatment of poor;
I gave; I built; I did it all,
For the poor human creature.

This was my bad day to hear,
And laugh to hearts content.
To hear he was a great giver
Keeping dollars, giving cent.

Giver he is; giving he is seen;
Great Giver to him, is unseen.
