I journey through jungles of Mizo, Garo, and Naga adventuring although and as though fearing the worst. A crowed of cruel-looking men find me; catch hold of me; drag me just as they drag a horse or elephant or camel or a donkey for hard labor or a goat for slaughter; almost dump me into a place where their fraternity dance enjoying their day’s hunt though not a human head.
A piece of meat is given to me; they dance with me or rather I dance to their tunes. The tribes-head punches on my chest meaning: ‘Are you fine?’ Men and women escort me to my safari and bid me farewell brim-filling with beautiful smiles.
