The Firmament

a poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

If you ever come to my valley
I’ll make you into a star
on the flake of heaven,
above my home, that I hold.

This sliver of night sky
that can only be seen by invited guests
and those lost in the wilderness
of love.

We shall admire you greatly
and you’ll outshine the moon,
people will point and say
”Look, isn’t she beautiful tonight.”
