I’m arrested

a poem by Lakshminarayana K

A naked dream with two lips red
“I love you man” so she said;
The night is thickening over the land
Whisper the flowers of verdant strand.

The lovely musk, the exhaling one
On her chest my heart does run,
Shines her face, glitter her eyes
Burning with lust is blood in her thighs.

I thought “Her heart’s warm and still,
Stringing the chords of love and thrill.”
A love-hungry bread, she was asked for
A shelter of my life I was asked for.

Before I advanced in the dim lights
“Now I’m calling at the midnight,
What’ve you brought for me”? she said.
To bring anything, in her, I’m arrested.
