Listen God

a poem by Namit Bhandari

Dreadful strifes, Taliban strikes,
Death, misery and pain smiles,
In helpless human cries,
Oh you statue rise rise.

Let my tears not go in vain,
Oh Ye Unknown know my pain,
I am but Your child,
Kind hearted but still in plight.

Death misery had had their sway,
Oh Ye powerful use Your say
Why torment Your own child,
In pursuit to reunite.

Show Your child the right way
Or else he will go astray
And then You will have a lost child
Who will never be able to reunite.
