Grandeur of God

a poem by Benna Rao Goli

The universe reveals grandeur of God,
Everything sears and blears but never plod;
Everything under the sky is always profound,
For, He made useful every compound.

Look into woods, meadows and plains,
Chirruping of birds, sounds of streams;
Ever green plants and beautiful blossoms,
The plateaus, rocky and ice – mountains.

The oceans and seas, rivers and streams;
The gigantic animals, every tiny insect that gleams;
The calm and wind, thunder and lightning,
The bluish sky, clouds and sunrays brightening.

The cosmic bodies, innumerable meteors,
The glittering stars and glimmering moors;
Aren’t they standing by His blessings?
The greatness of God is revealed in all things.
