I wanted to write a poem on you
A few lines like nobody wrote before
Words you can remember all way through
As many times as you hear it, you’ll like it more
But were you worth this exercise of my imagination
This search for words and their inner meaning
So many comas and questions, so many exclamations,
Celebrations of your beauty, sonnets for your being
I oscillated like a pendulum between the answers
For questions I had never asked earlier,
And time passed by, year after year
And the sand in the hourglass slipped through
And then I saw you sway your arms
As a pigeon flew from your hands
That smile like a lightning in a storm
Those waves of joy on dreamy sands
No longer am I gonna wait,
No delay now, I shall not procrastinate,
I will write it soon,
May be tomorrow afternoon…
