Never again

a poem by Sidharth Kumar

Never again, never again
These twin arrows striking my naive mind
Attempting to kill the endearing brain cells

Feel sliced within
Abridging me in obscurity
Targeted her but myself became one

Dog-eared love, it of course ain’t
Just started to bloom
Still in its nascent stage

Seen the repercussions of drowning in love
Not you but the one in you that drowns
Submerged eyes then seeking respite at the bottom

Silence eludes me today
But the juvenile kid still screaming for you
Just like when someone would snatch his candies
