A taper burns alone,
In the darkness of the night.
The sun had been sleeping since ages,
In the era of Glorious Lies.
Truth has escaped to the coal dark woods,
it was besieged by terror,
Devil had impugned the manhood,
Fear was gawking with naughty humour.
Children are no more innocent,
Unfaithful is every eye,
Roses are red in blood,
Romeo’s Love is no more alive…
But a taper burns alone,
In the pitch darkness of night…
I was looking for a helping hand,
And sunken in sorrow was my every breath,
In the pool of unmeasured grief.
The frail hopes tried hard to pacify,
Alas, Never again.
I wanted to live a life.
But…
A fire I saw last night,
An innocence of child in your smile,
Truth dripped from your lips like pearls,
And sun was in your company benign.
I gathered that fire in my eyes,
And pumped the vital lifeblood,
I had dreamt you, my life,
Reckoning back I was in the world!!
A taper burns still,
In the Life’s darkest night,
I was holding your hand .my destiny,
You gave me the Life!!
The cupid had killed his game,
I was in the love last night.
