Oasis

a poem by Devi Nangrani

Oh Lord! It is only your benevolence
That I have come to your ‘oasis’.

This world is full of fairs and nightmares
This mundane world knows only flashy flares.
Desert I, my life’s dreary portals
To seek thine lotus petals.

‘Merry go round’ appears this life
There remains nothing but grief and strife.

Like the waves of the blue ocean
My mind gets tossed in thought’s oscillation.
The one who teaches me wisdom is thy self
And ye remind me of the mission.

Bless me to lose my ‘self’ in meditation
Let my dark soul be atoned by redemption.

Let my heart be attuned to perfection
By bathing in thy Effulgent Ray Diffusion.
