Last night I looked up and saw,
a bright star in the sky with awe.
I know it’s a resplendent ‘star’,
so unapproachable and so much far,
and its pompous beauty has no meaning,
until it’s close by.
Then I embrace my Diamond,
which remains so close to me;
I know it’s not a ‘star’,
still my comrade at par.
Oh! Diamond,
I am enamoured to be with you,
even though the light you shower,
is not yours but of the revered stars;
but you convert a light so ordinary,
into an emollient blaze,
all the nights and days.
