And I stared into the iridescent
Lamp-light rainbow
Curling
Eating into itself
Causing a slow dulled muffled colour.
This was my sunset
One I could breathe into.
People
Purple
Sucking off each others’ foam
Accumulated over years
Of antiseptic rinsing
Music
Tired
Pounding
Creating some atmosphere, some collectivity.
Watching starvelings
Grovel amongst themselves
For a look, a laugh, something
Standing apace of each other
Touch but not my vibrations
Letting each other die
The ultimate indulgence
No void to escape into
Staring at the smell of greed
The perfect release for savagery
Exploit the seven sins
This is now show me what you have.
Towards warmth, burns
Third rate, third degree.
All emotion in liquid rates
Cascading in the midst of the moment.
Everyone unaware,
Everything mortal, hurtling towards time.
Your time may come.
Drunk. A fat sweat
Leaves not the ares deceased.
No monsters, just vampires.
Bolstering the stars, supporting the sky.
Their own little dungeon
A gentle air, oxygenated
Cold with cold fingers, feverish
Vampires
Homeothermic and a lot of smiles
At the time
I likened it to a honeycomb
Dripping light, indulgence
Stolen ambrosia
The food of the dogs
Large amounts of vagrant honey-suckers
Pause inside their pause
To haunt the dead
Stumble in, stumble out
Unaffected, dehydrated
Trying not to remember
What just happened.
Some trying hard
Not to remember
Their faces, their lives.
Focusing on the car keys
And parking spaces.
In transit.
