All night I thought in grey
And all day I sang in blue
The evenings fade into red
As I colour myself away from the truth
Inside its cracks lie a meaning
A whole history that it begs to tell
The hurt that offers no shade
Is red and white and deep
It stands apart from how it looks
Beneath it lies a sleep
As I awoke from its depths,
The past crept in like a colour
And time that had walked all the way inside
Was confused by its own importance.
