Who are you?

a poem by Sumita Jagannathan

You might be a sweet person
You can be a clod
You can be someone like else
like peas in a pod

You can be an extrovert
who always makes funny faces
or you can be an introvert
who hates going places

You can look everywhere
an identity you are trying to find
you might be searching desperately
a name for your face and mind

You might be the one
your friends are always picking on
Life is full of strange twists
in minutes friends might be gone

Whoever you are, you are human
that will never change
though at times there might be
things you cannot manage

With a happy heart and clear thoughts
its time you find your true identity
happy, sad, great or small
that is going to be your destiny
