What is it for?

a poem by Sumandodril

What are tears for, if you don’t want to cry;
What is success for, if you don’t want to try.

What is life for, if you don’t want to live;
What is money for, if you don’t want to give.

What is knowledge for, if you don’t want to share;
What are feelings for, if you don’t want to care.

What is pain for, if you don’t want to bear;
What is reality for, if you don’t want to dare.

What is rain for, if you don’t want to get wet;
What is risk for, if you don’t want to bet.

What is goal for, if you don’t want to achieve;
What is decency for, if you don’t want to behave.

What is sleep for, if you don’t want to dream;
What is a light-house for, if you don’t want the beam.

What is effort for, if you don’t want to win;
What is confession for, if you don’t want to sin.

What are hands for, if you don’t want to lend;
What are messages for, if you don’t want to send.

What is glass for, if you don’t want to break;
What are mountains for, if you don’t want to trek.

What is nature for, if you don’t want to admire;
What are needs for, if you don’t want to desire.

What is voice for, if you don’t want to sing;
What is everything for, if you don’t want anything.

What is it for, just accept them as they are.
