The sky is grey,
There’s no sunshine, not a ray.
The chances alas seem a little grim.
We don’t know what will happen,
We don’t know if they will ever again grin.
They lie there helpless burnt to death.
Their parents beside them with tears they had shed.
A raging fire in a temple of knowledge,
Killing innocent lives,
Maybe it was God’s grudge.
So many dreams and aspirations gone in the drain.
All hopes and expectations are in vain.
All those who perished are in heaven up above,
Smiling benignly at us earthly beings.
Our hearts weep for them,
Our minds spell agony.
But I know they are God’s angels in the heaven up above.
