She was so confused,
But others just seemed so amused.
She didn’t know what to do?
It was like the country was in a coup.
What had happened, she could not understand,
It was like the sand was slipping, out of her closed hand.
She didn’t know what to do?
It was like she put her hand into hot stew.
Her best friend he was,
Could he be the cause?
For her confused state of mind
Which was to her so unkind.
For he did believe, what some one said.
To say, she is off her head.
He did consider her just his friend
And that he had many a matter to tend.
Then yet another day,
Some one did say.
He does speak behind your back
You still trust him, ‘Are you a crack?’
But she, in him, did have her trust,
One that would never rust.
She didn’t know how to keep her cool,
They just kept calling her a fool.
Will all this ever be set right?
Will she put up a fight?
Will she just let go
And make another dear friend, her foe?
