It started off
as a slow drizzle,
and then turned into
a torrent inundating
the cities and towns,
hills and valleys,
into a rain of metaphors,
mixing memory,
and desire,
image and symbol,
into limning of the
watery universe,
which is pristine
prismatic,
and quintessentially
poetic.
