He had always been a lender,
No matter what you want.
But when he wanted to borrow.
He gets choosy for his want.
He would ask for my ears,
To listen carefully, whenever he speaks.
He would ask for my shoulders,
To support him, whenever he needs.
He would ask for my anger,
To shout at him, whenever he is wrong.
He would ask for my laughter,
To boost him up, whenever success comes along.
These are the rights, the duties too;
But then there is no need for an end.
I will be always like this, as he is,
As he is my friend, my true friend.
