Man does evolve into higher levels,
Ritual man does all that animals do,
And certain other things animals don’t do
Without knowing the real meaning of them.

Ritual Man evolves into a rational man
Learning the reasons for his actions.
He rationalizes the world and everything
Till one day stumbles at the irrational.

Soon the illogical logic turns him in.
He gets the inkling of something unknown.
Birth after birth he thinks of it alone,
When fixed to that one, a Yogi is born.

A yogi meditates calmly and steadily
And Enlightenment makes him a Gnani.
Verily a living God is that great Gnani.

Scriptures speak of a celestial hierarchy.
Devas, Pithirars, Prajapathi, King of Devas
And so on are many such divine positions.

The highest position is that of Brahman.
The highly enlightened Spiritual man
By the grace of God becomes Brahman.
