Eaten Alive

a poem by Shyamprakash

She is near, so close
Oh burning, my body burning
Burning fire kisses eyes, and
Sucking tears
Spreading fire, she’s pouring and,
Filling pain, into my veins
Pain the venom, now turned opium
Fire, now spreading her hands
Hugs me, I knew I can’t escape!
And now my bones bursting-cracking sounds!
I know my blotted eyes will burst
And the skull will be crushed.
Now, skin turned red, then black
It is melting, then
Oh, melting is my body melting
Like a puppet, wax made.
Ho, like a cruel hungry fairy
She devoured me fully.
