The ward was filled with patients galore
Some febrile, some anguished with painful sores
Most wondering how they would tide their plight
Would they even make it thru’ the night?
Along she came, like an angel, in white
Her eyes glistening in the pale dim light
She gave them the timely meds to heal
Her voice was kind, her touch gentle
She tended to them night and day
Lovingly listening to what they’d say
Determined and firm, but, compassionate too
Trying to bring them out of their blues
Then Love, science and patience triumphed
Thanks to the kind hearts and healing hands
Slowly they recovered one by one
It was surely a miracle done
