Be it the scorching sands of the Thar, where the sun blazes with scornful glee
Or the numbing peaks of Kashmir, where one’s only thought would be to flee
Undeterred, Unmoved, still standing there
A steady rock you are- With courage beyond compare.
As the waves smash in and out, showing signs of no respite
Colliding with tremendous force, summoning all their might
You take on each one of them, however strong they may be
The grain of sand you are – Protecting us from the sea.
Untouched by any religion, Untouched by any caste
The only colour you ever see is- the tricolour on the mast
A gem extraordinaire, tolerant towards every kind
The precious diamond you are – Extremely hard to find.
Your sweat and blood nourish the soil, making it ever so fertile
Upon which this nation flourishes, making every Indian smile
Carrying the country on your shoulders, you carry on
The Earth herself you are – The Earth reborn
