Blind men watching

a poem by Prathamesh Amre

They said the world is so bright
But still why I can’t see the light
Is it the brightness of my mobile
That has made my eyes docile
But still why I can’t see the tears
Of someone alone wearing headphones in her ears
I see it everyday her hands shake
Struggling to keep her loved ones happy and safe
May be I am truly blind
Watching this world smother her with its binds
