Festivals

a poem by Sony Dalia

Festivals, a part of our life,
tsunami or not,
unfailingly turn up…

Festivals, a part of tradition,
bring cheer, goodwill,
opening new channels…

Tradition motivates, educates,
streamlining life ways,
man and environ inalienable…

When disasters strike too
we should follow tradition
praying God
to give solace, strength to the suffers.

Pomp not needed, pettiness shed,
human concerns, aspirations-
valued, supported, rewarded,
render festivals meaningful…
reaching the needy so gratifying!
