For you O’Fair Lady

Such lovely eyes,
Where else can I find,
It makes me sand blind,
Contemporary cat-like on which my heart plies.

Countless dense black hair,
Seeing which arouses my desire,
One of them kissed your cheek,
Alas, I infront of you look so meek.

Those widespread red lips,
How feminine you look when you travel in ships,
With a lovely little-big nose,
And such shaped ear to pose.

You stand so tall on your feet,
You make the hearts infront of you beat,
Worthy to be one of beauty queens,
And I say you look ultimate in jeans.

As I see you more and more,
My heart feels Aur Pyar Ho Gaya but has no pore,
Dil mein aate hai Josh,
And seeing you my tongue blabs gosh.

I dance with your Taal,
Enough, now let me tell to my pal,
Ssshhh… you are not a …
Yes, you are Aishwarya.

The Beauty of Moonlit Night

Sitting near the lake I see a bright tinge appear in the middle
As in the sombre blue sky comes the moon in her chariot of pearl
Girting her silvery hue around groves of mango trees
While mango-foliages sway in cool summer breeze;
On tiny flowers showers the moon her rays glittering
Before whom look tarnished millions of stars twinkling,
The little flowers sip ethereal silver drops of the moon
And in ecstacy of opening their petals pretty they swoon;
Dance the waves of the lake glistening like molten silver
And the dark night becomes a beautiful painting in silver;
The beautiful night makes me feel as if I were in Eden
Free from the ugliness of this world revealing Beauty arcane,
My soul beholds Beauty in her pure divine light
That flashes and makes me pen the beauty of moonlit night.

Is Beauty Truth or What – II

Dress makes the man but not the man himself in reality!
So, beauty is just a representative of a business company!
What is beauty to one is not the same for others too;
Truly, beauty lies only in the eye of the beholder!

How much importance man attaches to beauty here!
Beauty attracts and deceives perpetuating men’s affairs!
Beauty only loses but love lasts in the life of the world!
So, one can be a slave of love but not a slave of beauty.

Beauty without love is a serpent like beauty unreliable
And is much more dangerous than a common beauty.
Beauty without love is also a beauty without truth;
Such serpentine beauty surely coils round and swallows!

Beauty of Art may be a joy forever to men;
But beauty of Nature forever lives in mind
And gives blessed mood recollected in peace!

Beauty of Art may be a frozen one;
Beauty of a Woman is a losing one;
But beauty of Nature is a lasting one!

Beauty of Nature truly never dies in the world,
A live legacy for all to witness and appreciate!

Is Beauty Truth or What – I

To forget worries I float on the waves of poetry
And go to exotic places to see beauty wonderful.
“Is beauty truth or what?” I wish to know;
“Beauty is truth, truth beauty,” says Keats!

Lasting creative art may be true beauty;
But beauty is outer cover of matters unknown!
Matters of love and truth are worthy beauties!
Otherwise, beauty is only adequate expression!

A thing of beauty is a joy forever in the world!
Love of beauty never leaves one unhappy in life!
Lions, tigers, snakes and sharks are all beautiful;
But how horrible it is to love them so close!

Flesh, bone and blood are enclosed in skin deep beauty!
Without the attraction of beauty no creature is born!
For perpetuation of species Nature designed beauty!
So the craze for beauty cannot be controlled by power!

Beauty is diamond on the crown but not the crown itself!
Beauty is feather on the cap but not the feather itself!
Beauty is only Zero that increases the values of Numbers!
Beauty is only the Currency but not the Gold, its value!

Evening

Spreads its tresses,
as I fumble with opacity
I want to see those tresses,
tresses of the evening which
I am told is like the raven’s hair,
wild it spreads into oceans of breathtaking
delight, I want to fondle those tresses
to be reminded of you, your catwalk,
your bird’s nest eyes, those tresses,
they linger on my mind
all that I find is the broken hourglass,
dilapidated crumbling, as I know this vacuity
my shattered visage in those tresses.

Winter

That is a time
When golden oranges resonate
With pine clad houses
And verdurous forests sing the
Eternal song, when cherubic boys
With white teeth dressed in mufflers and caps,
Remind with a visage of the boy,
Who loved to bathe in its sunshine
With christmas trees adding to the flavour of winter…

Glamour

All dolled up in grease and paint to kill
Condemned perpetually to consult the mirror
Burned by harsh ultra-violet rays of glamour
Licked by scorching flames of fame.

Hounded by sensation-bitten paparazzi
Driven to flash always a pasted smile
Forced to endless rituals of body cult
Starved to near death to maintain figure.

Strapped to ventilator of fashion critique’s rating
Facing fade-out threats from younger rivals
How long will I top the charts?
The unspeakable fear
Past heady bloom cruelly destined for the dust bin.

Why not cultivate rather the inner self
And be for ever in unfading bloom?

A Distant Light

A distant light
Goes from blue to white
I followed it with a curious eye
A breath taking view of the beauty of the sky
The blues experienced in their quest
As a flourish of a paintbrush is guest
To gods testament a beauty

Strutting proud and perfect the hue’s come
And as once the blue turns to gold a walk home
That distant light perhaps is heaven
Are as close to god as can be
I sit and wish that I could be free

I silently say a prayer
And whisper to the, the lord up there
I am allowed this as a friend
But oh I got things to say to him in
The End

As Night Slips Away

As I watch the night slip away
And the fingers of dawn come to light,
And the sky turns from black to a very pale blue
As night slips away

I see the dawn move across the sky in a slow moving way
As the night slips away and dawn comes a new day,
I feel a slight breeze of velvet rom the east as dawn come in to bring a new day

The stars start to fade and the sky seem to glow
And the gray of the night slips into the gold of the of the day
As the night slips away

The colors God paints in the dawn are a hue of delight as he gives us a new day
As night slips away

A Distant Light…

A distant light
Goes from blue to white
I followed it with a curious eye
A breath taking view of the beauty of the sky
The blues experienced in their quest
As a flourish of a paintbrush is guest
To gods testament a beauty

Strutting proud and perfect the hue’s come
And as once the blue turns to gold a walk home
That distant light perhaps is heaven
Are as close to god as can be
I sit and wish that I could be free

I silently say a prayer
And whisper to the, the lord up there
I am allowed this as a friend

The Mirror Image

Staring back at herself, she look blankly
Her eyes filled with unflowed tears
A meek smile smeared across her face
She looks at herself with shame and disgust
The complete opposite of what she looks like
Hidden beauty seen only through the mirror image
Undescribable beauty , the never ending smile on her face
The gorgeous and astonishing face seen
All hidden under her skin.

Ode to my Love

The Moon delights to feel your hand
The clouds to kiss your face
Your eyebrows seize the rainbow
In joyous eternal grace

The Mist delights to feel your arms
The dew to moist your lips
Your eyes behold a splendor
Unmatched in eclipse

The rain delights to feel your moods
The rivers to quench your thirst
Your breath warms the winter nights
To let a new dawn burst

The birds delight to sing to you
The bees to hum a tune
Your heart flutters in unison
With the gentle wind of June

The Earth delights to feel your feet
The wind to play your hair
Your smile lights the morning sun
I see you everywhere

To the Sunflower

Enthralling smile of you
With flamboyant flash of yellowish hue
As if pure fire made of
Seeing you anyone would stop
And appreciate your beauty
Calling you Nature’s variety

Touched by your flagrant flame
Onlooker would simply exclaim:
“The Hand that designed this feat
Must indeed be a great artist!”

Thou art so reserved, reticent and coy
That as a schoolboy
I found you a constant source of joy
And you used to lift my mood
But in adulthood
Many flowers have withered on my eyebrow
And many still in my gardens grow
But none hath that power to overpower
Like you O Sunflower!

Ode to Cuckoo

Utter not a word
O sweet sonorous bird
Lest thy lustful note
In spring amorous longing evoke
Or thy voluptuous voice awake
Eve’s cursed mortal taste
By this mellow melody
If you wish to invoke yearning in
Serene panorama of stoic wood
Or herald in green girls the dawn of
Womanhood
Then instead go to places
Where dame beautiful and her beau
Have been forced each other to bid adieu
And are compelled to live apart
Harbouring passion in their heart
They probably will value your song
Just to ease pangs and patience to prolong
