Quadrennial- 28-11-21

a poem by Dlwlrma

A stone in my path
The breeze couldn’t take away
Standing there clueless
My wounds faded away

Yesterday was fun
But the pain still lingers
I should’ve known you were the hindrance/one
That/who reopened my wounds through an acquaintance

Days made their way
Painting my sorrows blue
You stood there staring like a taboo

Nevertheless, I kept it buried
Anxiety gnawing me from within
Pleading me to cease
A whisper emerged from my entwined head
