Gazing a Shooting Star

a poem by Gera H C

On a dark clear night, I look up the sky
It’s fascinating, captivating, I don’t lie
The moon, the galaxy and the pole star
Gazing with eyes wide open like a radar
Constellations up in the sky, beautifully arranged
Their names shall always keep you engaged
Astonished when I saw the shooting stars
Illuminating magnificently without wars
Strange why are they called falling stars?

Shooting stars are shower of fire and dust
Amazing streak of light falling with a gust
They shine brightly give joy in abundance
Life is short but sparkle without repentance
I want to be like a dazzling shooting star
On a dark night shall shine like Pole star
May be momentarily shall smile up in sky
It’s fascinating, captivating, I don’t lie.
