The Quarantine

a poem by Aliya Majid

Corona, Corona everywhere
No other word to be heard
Today is Janta Curfew
And everyone is inside having curd
Oh! God, when will these days be over
On roads will once again be
Vehicles like Range Rover
We all are now super duper
Bored of it
But the thought that
These days are holidays is lit
All the food supplies and things
Are stocked up
Why do we drink banana shake
In glasses and not in cup
We pray to God that this goes away soon
Cause it surely is not a boon
