Oh Noble Soldier

a poem by Elaine E. Howie

Oh Noble Soldier I weep for you
My heart beats for your blues
My life has been mastered because of you
I am in debt to you

My joys are with the skills you obtained
To keep my little world from being insane
I have watched you faithfully on the news
I have believed in you even when I was confused

Oh, Noble Soldier you are so dear
And display your honor with deeds sincere
I pray that you come home soon
And be a part of the world you tuned

And by some mighty strength you succeed
In making us secure indeed
I wonder on you as a friend
And will treat you with gratitude until my
End
