Times Teeth

a poem by Tony Gill

Drowning in a timeless sea
The Sunset gives the sun to another
Your breath it grabs a hold of me
A sheet of lies remains your cover

Tomorrows dawned, your time is fleeting
The bitter drum of that lost boy
Shatters truth and keeps on beating
At my fingertips, you lose your joy

The gatekeeper smiles, you cannot see
You point your finger, no one’s to blame
The crumbling lies of times wicked teeth
You fall away, your lies are tame
