Ring in new tunes

a poem by Purushothama Rao R

Let the deafening war guns
Embrace smiling silence

Let the defying violent VOICES
Succumb to the peace talks

Let the wild flowers blooming in the deep forest
Smell sweet fragrance quite in semblance

Let the red carpets welcome only the serene lots
Ignoring the powerful lobby of revolting crimes to chimes

Let the pens flow out only the cordially tuned songs
Let the poems ring out all along the new year’s truce tones
