I introduce me

a poem by Shah Pravinchandra Kasturchand

When you ask me,
‘Who am I?’
My answer is,
‘I am me.’

Not ridiculous?
Not kidding?
Not a mere lie?
And only a lie?

No, no, no.
It is not so.

Can I say,
‘I am you?’
Can I say,
‘I am he?’

Now you tell me,
very honestly;
Can I not say,
‘I am me?’
