A Heinous Crime

a poem by Purushothama Rao R

(In memory of the hundreds of innocent people
who lost their lives and critically injured
in the recent blasts in Mumbai)

How dare you do like this
Oh! The entire tribe of traitors
Do you act against the interest of the country
To whom you belong

Do you wet the victory flags
With the strewn blood of victims
And celebrate it as your successful endeavour
How cruel your stances are!!!

You are eating the grains of this mother land
You are breathing the air of this country
You are drinking the water of the pious rivers
Yet you disown your own country men

And act differently in tune with our enemies intentions
Massacring the innocent hundreds in cruel bomb blasts
And laughing at us treating it as your heroic act
Instead of realising it as a heinous crime

A day will come and you have to answer the Lord
You will definitely be punished for the inhuman trends
Be ware we are all uniting to drag you to the nets of justice
And you will definitely be punished for the cruelty exercised
