The Reward

a poem by Ramya R

When you were child, I played with you
I made the wind to sing for you
I daily gave you fruits to eat
I also gave you shadow from heat
I took all the bad and gave fine air
Which helped you very much to respire
Because of me you got the rain
And now you label me as vain
You took out the axe and cut me down
Only to help you go to town

All my life you served me well
Is this the way you reward me tell!!!
