Sunrise in the sea

a poem by Harini Sridharan

The angry horizon
Meeting the gray dark sea
The ever-wild waves
Crashing on the rocks
Breaking on the shores
The glorious sunrise
Tracing a golden trail
The doves on the beach
Spreading friendship
Among the walkers
The naughty sand
Getting into the shoes
The cherished shells
Carelessly thrown by the sea
To be picked by children
The friendly fish folks
With their long boats
The sweet smelling sea air
Representing purity in impurity
And the sacred glory of the sea
