Nature

a poem by Satish Kakri

The green of mowed grass in rains
Yellow of spring sunflowers in plains
So many colours of roses too;
Great gifts of Nature
These are,
For birds, beings; everyone, me and you

Sweet smell of the earth unique
When summer sundry showers fall
Or of flowers, plants and fruits
Brings joy and make everyone enthrall

Sounds of birds chirping in morn
Or of winds in fields of corn
Or those of sea waves on sandy shore
Gifts of Nature you want always more

If, in world, perfection is shown
It is by Nature and Nature alone.
