Tsunami Tragedy

a poem by Akanksha Kapoor

I don’t know what life’s all about,
But it seems to me its all full of doubt.

Catastrophe comes on one sunny day,
It floods right in, and takes it all away.

Out of the blue, from the sea,
Came a towering wave that took you from me.

All that remains, broken and shattered.
Everything is gone, but it no longer matters.

Won’t you help, Lord?
Won’t you help, Lord?

Still I feel that hope can be found,
By joining hands and looking around.

Rebuilding homes, rebuilding our lives,
While living in hope that you’re still alive.
