Formalities

a poem by Anup S Mudugal

Formalities, the world over speaks about,
People say barbarian I am , without
Good formalities of an Englishman.
Innocent kid I am in this world without
Knowledge of acting on stage of life,
Never have I been taught or.
Expected upon to do so.
What formalities should I confer upon
My mother, who gave birth
My teacher, who taught, how to think
My love, who reincarnated
My friends, who made me complete and
My Lord
What use is it , of living a life, with
formalities which aren’t true,
What good does it serve to be
Double speak
I stand to accept, what My love needs.
