Desires… Unfulfilled

a poem by Swapna Raghu

Like feathers
in symmetrical
lightness
of floating petals
quivering
in lost dreams
leaving
liquid bruises.

Like seismic
throbs soaring
through
misty kaleidoscope
rocking
homes and lives
sucking
ebb and flow
of life
from every living
cell.

Breaths entangle
into blurring
colours that defy
reasons, like human desires
which multiply
only to
crumble into
a hearth-
a heap of
greying ashes.
