The two of us

a poem by Samrajni Ganguly

A hand of help, a touch of soothe-
Some words of love some care…
A bubbling fountain foaming with joy;
A feel of company, when you’re not there.

A cloudy evening, the docile defeated sun,
A pavement through an avenue-
A jerky journey through a life of celebration
Traversing all this without you.

A bird chirping through the serenity of the aurora
The mist covering the view…
A world where it is all so haphazard
Keeps reminding me of you.

The flowers blooming their petals free,
At the call of the dawn’s young ray-
The daffodils leaning to the ground with shame
Just to give the two of us a way.

The heaven is rejoicing, the gods are happy,
Every bit of this universe is having fun:-
The nature is happy, the cupid is happy…
Applauding our immortal reunion.
