The Deserted Mass

a poem by Sushil Sundrayal

Even a deserted mass
Surrounded by craters and rocky hills
Can be noticed by the peoples.

The deserted mass
Lying in the vast space
Gains the grace
Just due to the reflection
Of light it gets from the sun.

So the deserted mass
Never let it make known
Whatever it has its own.
Enough is the sun’s boon
To make the mass a shining moon.
