In my lover’s depth, overshadowed
By Atlantic swell.
Jade trickled down her face, a ruby
Raft of soft lips I kissed.
Drowned in her embrace, till shafts
Of light awoke the night sky.
A sigh as the sea released me to be
A mountain range petrified by time.
I’m a rock, but my soul flies on wings
Of hope to the land promised me.
Where shackles of the past do not
Apply and the future is today.
