Hold me in your arms

a poem by Paramesh C R

If you are a gentleman
Who has all one can
If you are the gentleman
Make of me a complete woman.
Hold me tightly in your arms
And kiss softly my lips warm.

I want to dream every night
And go wherever you I sight
Should I by night lay faking shy
Kiss my lips hard and lie.

I would wake up from my dream
“you never kissed me” I would scream.
Insist being a virgin never bowed
And ask what it means to be loved.
Wonder if it was the dream I never had
If it weren’t, would I be sad?

Do I know how long, if, you were mine
God, I wish I never; Be it too ever thine
Let not the dream of my dream end
‘Cause it would be my life’s abrupt end.

If from dream, hundred years come
I wake up with my lips dry and numb
Let you and I in grace mingle
For ever to remain not single.

Farewell for now, my darling.
