Truth

a poem by Sachin Pushkarna

Start the day with a twinkle
A high, a low , a foray into the jungle
Wait for a moment face for what is in store
A punctured tyre, a broken belt and the pain of rejections galore
Strong as I am, moving on to climb another tree
The branches might fall, leaves might break, but the trunk may hold on to me
Rendezvous with the brain, the soul left wondering
Hypocrisy surfaced, lips might tell a different story
My soul awakened, my heart murmuring
Fighting the wrong with my rights
Not noticed, not acknowledged, I am proved to be a hypocrite, a liar
Fear of attraction, afraid of the unknown, my life is an interjection
Stopped, told, pulled across to learn what’s their truth
My failures unveiled, surviving is existence without truth
Soul is lost, heart is busted, the mind is back into view
Hopeless within, success around, loneliness brings in me, “the you”.
