The Play

a poem by Angela

A scene is set.
The curtains fall
beyond the view of the audience.

The ship with mighty waves was rocked.
The shower from on high on the turbulent waters fell
in time only to calm the violent sea.

The sun came out
the brilliant bout with the gait of a casual rampster
then the seasons fled with the pace of a roller coaster.

The ride ended where it began.

The curtains rise.
The audience watch
the funeral of an ace actor.
