Run, Run to Win

a poem by Remadevi G

The fawn was searching for mother doe
Its wandering eyes not noticed the danger
Wolf barked and jumped, seeing baby deer
Fawn has no other go, ran to cover distance
It ran frightened, hungry wolf just behind
Mother, came running, at a dark bushy spot
In front of the wolf, hiding the little fawn
At a distance, the fawn put out of sight
Doe changed the path, saving the child
She ran with great speed, with all strength
Jumping heights and running hard ways
Wolf dropped the attempt, prey escaped
Hungry wolf lost all energy, speed lessened
Mother deer gained added acceleration
Wolf ran for prey just to feed its hunger
It would get another and process goes on
But the mother deer had to save two lives
Not only self but also, baby than her life!
