a poem by Natasha Girglani

You put me through it,
but you’re a well-wisher,
Your touch is a miracle,
though the distance is greater.
We’re together now,
how come I still miss ‘us’?
we needed to talk,
I guess the silence is better.
You said that you loved her,
you told them you hate her?
Of all that I’ve given you,
how much have you taken?
Of all that I’m blessed with,
how much is mistaken?
Of all that she’s made up of,
how much really made her?
You know nothing about me,
but still you can judge me,
I’ve tripped and I’ve fallen,
or was I trying to fly?
Now that you’ve arrived,
I must kiss you goodbye…
