Another Day

a poem by Maryse Saldanha

I came into this world not knowing what will be
Then I opened my eyes to see
I knew not what now would come my way
I went along taking everything in my stride
I see people a many, only some friends I make
What will be? What lay in store?
I know not and gather all in my embrace
Flowers are many, some their fragrance renews
The others each day for another bloom
Each a part of the whole distinct favour it holds
I am just another, with all, me it holds
